Community Guidelines

Last updated: April 29, 2026

Overview

Galleria.Art is the global social network for art and artists — open to every artist regardless of style, medium, geography, or experience level. To keep the platform welcoming and safe for the artistic community we host, we ask all users to follow these Community Guidelines. They apply alongside our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, License Agreement, and Copyright Policy. Where any conflict arises, the Terms of Service control.

Who Can Use Galleria.Art

Galleria.Art is open to anyone who is at least 13 years old, or 16 years old in the European Economic Area where applicable national law sets the threshold at 16. You may browse, follow, save, comment, and purchase as a visitor or collector at no cost. To publish your own artwork, open an artist page, or unlock premium features, you must register as an artist on a paid subscription plan; details are on the pricing page and in our Terms of Service. We do not curate or pre-approve artists or artworks; the platform welcomes work of any style, medium, technique, or career stage on equal terms — paid plans gate access, never selection.

Encouraged Content

We encourage you to:

  • Share original artwork you created or have full rights to publish.
  • Document your creative process, materials, and inspiration.
  • Engage respectfully with other artists' work — comment, follow, save, and share.
  • Use accurate descriptions, titles, and tags so visitors can discover your work.
  • Disclose collaborations and any AI-assisted or AI-generated elements.

Prohibited Content

The following content is not permitted on Galleria.Art and will be removed when found. Repeated or severe violations may result in account suspension or termination.

Intellectual property infringement. Artwork or other content that you do not own or do not have rights to publish. Use of others' work without authorization, including unauthorized reproductions, derivative works, photographs of others' artwork without permission, or content that removes or alters copyright notices or watermarks. Claims of authorship for work created by another person.

Sexual content involving minors. Any content that sexualizes minors, including drawings, paintings, AI-generated images, or any other depiction. This is a zero-tolerance category. We report violations to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and equivalent authorities and cooperate fully with law enforcement.

Other illegal content. Content that violates applicable law, including but not limited to terrorist content, instructions for weapons or explosives, content that facilitates human trafficking, and content that infringes export controls.

Hate, harassment, and threats. Content that attacks, dehumanizes, or threatens individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or serious illness. Targeted harassment, doxing, or coordinated campaigns against an individual.

Graphic violence and gore. Realistic depictions of bodily harm, torture, or death intended to shock rather than serve an artistic purpose. Artistic exploration of dark themes is permitted with appropriate context, content warnings, and discretion.

Sexually explicit content and nudity. Pornographic content and content primarily intended for sexual gratification is prohibited. To meet content standards consistently across web and mobile distribution channels, Galleria.Art does not host artworks depicting full or partial nudity, regardless of artistic context. Classical and contemporary figurative work containing nude figures is not currently accepted on the platform. We may introduce a separate adult-content area or platform-specific filtering in the future; until then, please host nude figure studies on platforms designed for that purpose.

Obscene language and crude humor. Offensive or vulgar language in titles, captions, comments, profile bios, or other text submitted to the platform that a reasonable user would consider rude, obscene, or inappropriate. Profanity or crude humor that appears as integral to an artwork — for example in lyrics, poetry, political or satirical pieces — may be permitted in artistic context with appropriate discretion and, where relevant, content warnings.

Misleading content. Impersonation of another artist or person; misrepresentation of materials, medium, dimensions, or provenance; fake AI attribution (claiming work is hand-made when it is AI-generated, or vice versa); deceptive pricing.

Spam, malware, and fraud. Mass-posted promotional content, phishing links, malware, fraudulent sale listings, pyramid schemes, and external links to harmful destinations.

Self-harm content. Content that promotes, encourages, or romanticizes self-harm, eating disorders, or suicide. Posts about recovery and lived experience are permitted with appropriate sensitivity.

Prohibited Behavior

Beyond content, the following behaviors violate these Guidelines:

  • Creating or operating multiple accounts to evade enforcement actions.
  • Buying, selling, or trading accounts.
  • Using automated tools (bots, scrapers) to interact with the platform without explicit authorization, including artificial inflation of likes, follows, or saves.
  • Harassing or threatening other users via direct messages, comments, or off-platform channels in connection with platform activity.
  • Sharing other users' personal information without consent (doxing).
  • Conducting transactions on the platform that violate the Terms of Service or local law.

AI and Generative Content Disclosure

We welcome AI-assisted and AI-generated artwork as part of contemporary practice. To keep the platform honest:

  • Clearly label work that is substantially AI-generated, including the model or tool used where known (for example, Midjourney v6, Stable Diffusion XL, custom diffusion model).
  • Do not claim authorship of, or sell as "hand-made," work that was substantially produced by an AI system.
  • Do not generate or upload AI imagery that imitates the style of a specific living artist without their consent and credit.
  • Do not generate or upload AI imagery using copyrighted works as direct training inputs without authorization.

Misrepresenting the medium of a work — AI as traditional, or traditional as AI — is treated as Misleading Content under the Prohibited Content section.

Enforcement

When content or behavior violates these Guidelines, we may take one or more of the following actions, depending on severity, intent, and the user's history:

  • Warning — notification of the violation and a request to remove or correct.
  • Content removal — removal of the specific post, comment, or asset.
  • Visibility limits — reduced reach in feeds, search, and recommendations.
  • Feature restrictions — temporary loss of upload, comment, or messaging privileges.
  • Account suspension — temporary lockout of the account.
  • Account termination — permanent removal of the account.
  • Referral to authorities — for illegal content (especially involving minors or imminent harm), we report to law enforcement and cooperate with their investigations.

Severe violations — particularly sexual content involving minors, credible threats of violence, or coordinated illegal activity — result in immediate termination without prior warning.

Reporting Violations

If you encounter content that violates these Guidelines, please report it.

  • In-product: use the Report button on the artwork, artist, comment, or other item. This is the fastest route and provides us with the context we need to act.
  • Block users: use the Block button on a user's profile to immediately hide all of their content and prevent them from interacting with you.
  • By email: general violations to abuse@pllay.ai; copyright claims to dmca@pllay.ai (see Copyright Policy for required elements); content involving minors or imminent harm to abuse@pllay.ai with subject line beginning URGENT.

We acknowledge reports within 72 hours and act on objectionable content (sexually explicit material, hate speech, harassment, illegal content) within 24 hours of confirmed violation. Standard cases resolve within 7 days. Reports involving imminent harm or minors are prioritized for same-day review.

Appeals

If your content was removed or your account was actioned and you believe the decision was a mistake, you may appeal. For copyright removals, follow the counter-notice procedure in our Copyright Policy. For all other actions, send an email to abuse@pllay.ai with:

  • The username of the affected account.
  • The content or action you are appealing (URL, post identifier, or description).
  • The reason you believe the decision was incorrect, with any relevant context.

We review appeals on a case-by-case basis, typically within 7 days. Repeated bad-faith appeals may themselves count as a violation.

Updates to These Guidelines

We update these Guidelines from time to time as the platform evolves and as new content categories or behaviors emerge. Material changes will be announced to all users by email and via an in-product notice. Continued use of Galleria.Art after a Guidelines update constitutes acceptance of the updated text.
